     Le satin est un tissu à armure satinée, avec une face brillante et lisse et un envers mat. Les meilleures qualités de ce tissu : une structure agréablement douce, un tombé fluide et un entretien facile.

     Son léger brillant rend le tissu plus élégant et plus beau ; c’est pourquoi ce tissu est le plus souvent utilisé pour confectionner des vêtements raffinés. Il est donc idéal pour coudre des robes, des jupes, des corsets.

     Ce tissu convient parfaitement aux tuniques, aux chemisiers, aux belles chemises, aux gilets, voire aux vêtements vaporeux et à la lingerie de nuit. Le satin sert aussi à confectionner diverses décorations d’intérieur, par exemple des rideaux, des housses de chaises, ainsi que des nappes.

     Ne contient pas d’élasthanne et ne s’étire donc pas.
