     Le satin est un tissu à armure satinée, avec une face brillante et lisse et un envers mat. Ses meilleures qualités : une structure agréablement douce, un beau tombé fluide et un entretien facile.

     Son léger éclat rend le tissu plus élégant et plus beau, c’est pourquoi il est le plus souvent utilisé pour coudre des vêtements raffinés ; c’est donc un excellent tissu pour confectionner des robes, des jupes et des corsets.

     Ce tissu est idéal pour les tuniques, les chemisiers, les belles chemises, les gilets, même pour des vêtements vaporeux et des vêtements de nuit. On coud aussi en satin diverses décorations d’intérieur, comme des rideaux, des housses de chaise, ainsi que des nappes.

     Ne contient pas d’élasthanne et ne s’étire donc pas.
