SCHMETZ 135X17 SD1 (DPX17 SD1) industrial sewing machine needles with SD1 – small triangular tip (“TRI TIP”) are specially designed for neat, precise seams on leather and other dense materials. The SD1 tip combines a round needle with a very small triangular cut – about 10% of the stitch hole is cut by the tip, while the rest of the material is gently displaced by the conical round tip. The result is a straight, visually tidy seam with less cutting than classic leather cutting needles.
